The Tyre Protection Plan (TPP) is City Tyre Auto’s comprehensive warranty offered with every purchase of participating consumer tyres from City Tyre Auto Pte. Ltd. (CTA) in Singapore or Hawk Tyre Service Sdn Bhd (HTS) in Malaysia.

CTA and HTS will repair all damages occurring under normal driving conditions. If the damage is beyond repair, a new tyre will be replaced at no extra cost (installation fee applies).

Claim is subject to claim requirements and claim amounts, dependent on usage.

What Damage Is Covered?

Tyre Protection Plan covers puncture damage

Puncture
Road debris punctures that render the tyre unrepairable — nails, screws, glass shards.

Tyre Protection Plan covers sidewall cut damage

Cut damage
Sidewall or tread cuts from sharp road hazards that cannot be safely patched or plugged.

Tyre Protection Plan covers bulge and blowout

Bulge or blowout
Internal structural failure resulting in a visible sidewall bulge or sudden blowout during normal driving.

Tyre Protection Plan covers pothole impact damage

Impact damage
Damage from hitting potholes or kerbs causing unrepairable internal fractures or deformation of the tyre.

Tyre Protection Plan Eligibility

  1. All consumer tyres from participating brands purchased and installed from CTA or HTS are automatically enrolled.
  2. Only registered passenger cars for private use — excludes commercial vehicles and taxis.
  3. Claims are only for damages under normal driving conditions within Singapore or Malaysia, for the same vehicle plate as on the invoice.
  4. The damaged tyre must be determined unrepairable by CTA and/or HTS.
  5. Claim date and mileage must be within the specified period, mileage limit, and above the minimum tread depth (if any), whichever comes first.

What tyre brands are covered?

Goodyear, Michelin, Pirelli, Hankook, Nexen and Triangle passenger car tyres:

  • Purchased from City Tyre Auto Pte. Ltd. (CTA)
  • Listed clearly on the original purchase invoice
  • Must register (Goodyear only) at Goodyear Singapore
What types of damage are covered?

Road hazard damage beyond repair: punctures, cuts, bulges, and impact under normal driving on maintained roads.
What is the validity period?

  • Goodyear: 12 months OR ≥ 5 mm tread remaining
  • All other brands: 6 months OR ≤ 10,000 km driven
Validity starts from the date on your original invoice, whichever limit is reached first.

What is NOT covered?

  • Collision, vandalism, misuse, fire, theft, or intentional mishandling
  • Racing on roads or tracks
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Towing, fitment, balancing, and alignment costs (customer’s responsibility)
Can I claim after 6 months?

Goodyear only: Yes, if the tread depth is still above 5 mm.
All other brands: No — claims must be within 6 months of purchase.
Can I claim without my original receipt?

No. The original receipt and the damaged tyre must be presented to process any claim. The respective country’s official invoice must be produced.
Can I switch to a different brand or model?

Only the same brand and model is allowed. If unavailable, a similar alternative may be offered with a top-up. No refund if the replacement is cheaper.
Can I claim at any tyre shop?

No. Claims must be made at:

Are there installation fees?

Yes — installation fees apply to all claims:

  • Singapore (CTA): SGD 25 NETT per tyre
  • Malaysia (HTS): RM 50 NETT per tyre
Towing, balancing, and alignment costs remain the customer’s responsibility.

Can I choose which country’s rate to claim under?

No. Rates are fixed according to the terms and conditions. The claim amount follows the country where the tyres were originally purchased.
Are replacement tyres eligible for future TPP claims?

No. Replacement tyres under a TPP claim are not eligible for any further TPP claims.
What if the tyre is out of stock in my country?

A similar alternative brand or model may be offered with a top-up payment. No refund is given if the replacement tyre is cheaper.
How do I check the claim amount for MY-purchased tyres?

Refer to the Tyre Rebate Chart on the Hawk Tyre Service TPP page. For SG-purchased tyres, refer to the tables above.

    1. Road accident
    2. Driving under the influence of alcohol
    3. Racing on roads or tracks
    4. Intentional mishandling, fire, vandalism, or theft
    5. Wilful damage
  2. CTA and/or HTS will determine whether the tyre is unrepairable.
  3. CTA and/or HTS decision is final and conclusive.
  4. Repairable tyres must be repaired at the customer’s cost.
  5. If unrepairable, CTA and/or HTS will replace the tyre with the same size and pattern (if available). Alternate brands may be offered with a top-up if not available. No refund for cheaper alternatives.
  6. An installation fee of SGD 25 NETT per tyre (SG) or RM 50 NETT per tyre (MY) applies to all claims.
  7. All towing, balancing, and alignment costs are the customer’s responsibility.
  8. Replacement tyres are not eligible for future TPP claims.
  9. No claim will be processed without proof of purchase.
  10. CTA and/or HTS may update the TPP policy without prior notice.
